Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010
Me! Me! Me! Three exceptional artists battle it out to discover who is the most witty, articulate and original performer in a competitive new generation of musical comedy. Each a born entertainer. Mr B, Desmond O’Connor and Sarah-Louise Young have earned their well-deserved reputations the hard way through a tireless schedule of writing, touring and performing their entertaining and original work. Continuing the tradition of great British musical comedy, Me! Me! Me! presents a trio who create and perform songs that will be remembered not only for the quality of writing but also for their unique delivery. Sarah-Louise Young triumphantly returns to the Fringe after a five-star, sell out season last year and a year of acclaimed work with the award-winning impro troupe Showstoppers. Desmond O’Connor hopes to build upon the praise he received in 2009 for Desmorphia, High Tease and Scott Mills: The Musical. Mr.B is confident that his fringe 2010 appearance will gain him more popularity than his 'internet star' status and the impressive sales of his debut long player 'Flattery Not Included' have in the last year. Each refreshingly different. Each at the top of their game. |

Desmond O’ConnorDesmond O’Connor has been likened to Noel Coward, Tom Lehrer and Steven Sondheim. Tongue-twisting lyrics with a sharp satirical edge are delivered with irresistible charm that allows the most challenging subjects to be addressed in a warm and accessible manner. In 2009 Desmond was composer, lyricist and co-creator of Scott Mills: The Musical for BBC Radio 1. This year he has been invited by Pleasance to curate and manage Ghillie Dhu; the first dedicated cabaret venue on the Fringe. |

Sarah-Louise YoungSarah-Louise Young is universally loved by the public, by the press and by her peers. Incisive observational song writing, outstanding vocal talent and skilled character comedy combine to create a truly unique performer. Sarah-Louise’s work at last year’s Fringe earned her a run at the Soho Theatre and a trip to the Adelaide Fringe. Sarah-Louise is hotly tipped as a name to watch in Edinburgh this summer. |

Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer aims to dazzle with dignity. Armed only with his Banjolele and a stiff upper lip, he performs ditties of pipe-smoking, Cricket and sexual misadventure, alongside Chap-Hop reworkings of Hip-Hop classics. Mr.B has fast gained a reputation as an eloquent and entertaining live performer, appearing as far afield as Berlin, Glastonbury and club NME in Paris. His recent video 'Chap-Hop history' received over 100,000 hits in its first week on youtube. |
